The Reschedule Request feature has been set up on the UOVMHL site. It is currently located under the menu Managers, then Reschedule Request. The submission form is live now.

The manager or coach completes this form under the specific level they are requesting the change for. This will send the request to the appropriate convenor. Coaches and managers should try and resolve whatever the issue is prior to making this request. If you cannot solve the issue, within the form you need to articulate what steps you have taken. 

Convenors will then receive an email from [email protected] with the subject: Form Submitted: Reschedule Request U11H (or whatever level was submitted). Consider entering this email address in your safe email list so it does not go into junk. 

Rescheduling Request Rationale: 

Convenors will review the request and the explanation as to why it is being made. Tournaments and weather are not an issue, but other situations will be carefully scrutinized:
  • No goalie: Can you call up and affiliate or emergency goalie? Why not?
  • Low number of players: Use affiliated players.
  • Absent trainer or coach: Team should consider reaching out to their opponent to use their trainer. Is there another bench staff member that has qualifications that can cover as coach?

  •  If the request is Denied:

  • You will receive an email to explain why the request is being denied and potentially suggest other options if applicable. 

  • If the request is Approved:

  • You receive an email from convenor addressed to you and the appropriate ice allocator.
  • The Ice Allocator will complete the schedule change. 

The Ice Allocators will be able to find mutually available ice that fits within the guidelines of rescheduling.
